OK, here’s something to twist your mind……….?

Question:
This is a physical brain teaser, you will need 3 things, and only 3 things…….

A cup, for example a plastic picnic type cup, a mug, or a glass (as long as it isn’t too breakable)
jar, any large jar say a half litre or more
A rubber bouncy ball, that is about 2-3 cm across

Place the cup and the ball about 1 ft away from each other on a flat surface. The goal is to get the ball into the cup, without touching anything but the jar.

RULES
1 this is not a joke, or play on words, what it says is what it is, a brain puzzle, which has a set solution, and as far as I know, only one correct one if you follow the rules.
2 you must not touch the cup, or the ball, or with anything but the jar.
3 there must be no “Edge” on your flat surface, ie. the ball is not to be sent over the edge and into the jar.
4 The ball and cup are to be in a stationary state at the beginning of the excersize
5 The cup is to remain standing upright, and not be knocked over in any way, by any thing.

Ummm, I may need to add to these rules if someone thinks up something rediculous that I’ve forgotten to outlaw

    Assuming the jar can have a lid, use the lid to scoop the ball into the jar. If you set the cup upright so that the open part is facing up (like you would if you were pouring a drink), then simply ‘pour’ the ball into the cup.

    scoop the ball up with the jar and “pour” it into cup…

    Place the jar up-side down over the ball, so it is enclosed in the jar. Spin the jar around as fast as you can while keeping it down flat on the surface. Centrifugal (centripital?) force will make the ball spin up and into the jar. Either stop spinning the jar after lifting it up over the cup and let the ball fall in or quickly turn the jar right side up again and dump the ball into the cup.

    bang hard on the ball till it starts bouncing…keep on hitting it till it gains sufficient height. direct it into the cup by continuosly bouncing it with the jar (like how v continuosly hit a basketball to keep it bouncing. its called sumthing like dribblibg, i think).
    or wen the ball has attained enuf height, quickly slide the cup below it by pushing the cup with the jar.
    i came up with this answer coz u sed jar is unbreakable and ball is made of rubber. plz let me know in an edit if i hav violated any of ur rules.
